This project was built under contract to provide a quick and simple way
to diagnose issues with the hydraulic systems on a fleet
of garbage trucks. All the diagnostic information
was made available through an easily accessible CAN port and the
diagnostic software was written to run full screen on a low cost
Netbook type of PC. Updates
were provided multiple times a second to display everything in real
time. Firmware updates could also be downloaded across the
CAN bus.
